I'd think reloading equipment would be flying off the shelves.
I never really considered reloading because (A) I do not have the time (B) factory ammo is pretty good these days, and (C) I did not see any value in it. Now that 357 magnum ammo is $60 a box I may need reevaluate C.
Just curious, shouldn't one include their actual job hourly rate in the cost of producing ammo, when coming up with a value?
So I traded two boxes of Browning 145 grain .270 Win. for this 540 rds of Lake City 147 grain 7.62X51.......
Did I get a good deal? The trade was totally his offer.....honestly I about fell over...........

I don't since it's a hobby. Would you include an hourly job rate for going fishing to determine who much the fish you cleaned and ate cost? Or deer hunting?
Orrr... like me. I'm 100% catch and release. I figure with boat, tackle, electronics, fuel, oil, driving time, misc. In any given year each fish I catch ends up costing me about $800.00ea.I don't since it's a hobby. Another location had powder and I was tempted to buy most of it up but 2 lbs of 4064 was the only thing I knew I'd use right away. I guess like Doug I'm somewhere between the hyenas and vultures but I guarantee you several members here have benefitted from my visits in addition to my pocket book.

Manufacturers are not charging that much more...when I can actually get it which is rare..9mm from the distributors is still running about $10.50/bx.....retailers are where the huge mark up is occurring....
I still have a couple of thousand rounds of 9mm CCI Blazer aluminum from back when Academy regularly put it on sale for $3/box of 50. I'd be embarrassed to accept what people would be willing to pay these days.noticed the price $8.97 for 50 rounds.
