What you using on those ponds? Have a couple small ponds around me but haven't gotten anything to bite yet!

    Sent from...wait where am I!?
I'd say 90% of the hook ups I've had were on greenish plastic worms slow rolled over the bottom, or they were grabbed as soon as they hit the water.

The other 10% were on spinner baits or some variation.

I have found that for pond fishing artificials for bass that 1/4 or smaller spinner baits, either regular or inline, in white or white/chartreuse usually work well. For plastic worms, just about anything in a green or brown, with or without flakes, or something in a junebug 4"-6" on a 3/16 Texas rig or peg rig will probably work. If there are crawfish in it, a 3" crawfish bait in green pumkin w/red flake, black w/ blue flake or ozark craw.

    You're from South Louisiana, that's a sac-a-lait. ;)

I know, but wanted the Texas folks to be clear.

Good man, otherwise they'll think you put fish in your coffee ... lol

Went for a quick trip this morning.

To my surprise I caught some sort of 24" garfish on a Rattle Trap.

Due to the shock and 5 minutes spent getting the treble hooks out of its teeth filled about, I forgot to get a picture.

    Weird.

No, they won't. They are part of the food chain just like every other. They have been thete millions of years without wiping everything else out. They only eat very small fish.
