All I have to do is remember how I felt spending the winter of 2012/13 in Nebraska and figure, I'll deal with the heat.

Ha ha! I hear ya. We spent a number of hard winters in eastern WA. One year, I had to get up on the ROOF and shovel it was getting so deep. Luckily, if I fell off, there was a nice, soft pile of snow below me. When we left to come home to Texas, I fondly waved goodbye to that damn snow shovel. I don't expect to ever shovel snow again. God Bless Texas.

It was a nice start to summer but we blanked whole July, and August has been worse so far. Sunshine everyday and hot as balls is not fun anymore

Lived in Texas all my life. Except for West Texas, the state has not always been bone dry for July and August. Less rain? Yes. No rain at all? Not always.
