Ha ha! I hear ya. We spent a number of hard winters in eastern WA. One year, I had to get up on the ROOF and shovel it was getting so deep. Luckily, if I fell off, there was a nice, soft pile of snow below me. When we left to come home to Texas, I fondly waved goodbye to that damn snow shovel. I don't expect to ever shovel snow again. God Bless Texas. All I have to do is remember how I felt spending the winter of 2012/13 in Nebraska and figure, I'll deal with the heat.
