LOL - I'd bet some money that I could recite 80% of Thedore Geisel's lines. To have Chuck Jones animating it - that guy was a legend. Got me well acquainted with a double entendre watching Saturday cartoons.

My daughter complains mightily when I sing along with Thurl Ravencroft when the theme song comes on the radio. I'm told by others I do a pretty good impression, though.

In High School Chorus classes in the 70's & 80's this was learned, performed at each school's Christmas program - and all five of the High Schools in Lincoln NE performed it together down at Pershing Auditorium for the city-wide program. To this day, I can recall singing the Alto part, and though there's no video of the thousand of us performing to a packed house, there is this video - that brings back the powerful memories. Some things you always remember, and yes, I just did. Loudly.
