    Range nazi RSO's?

Might be careful saying things like 'range nazi' when shooting at Dietz. These are old-school Texas Germans. Many of the old timers there converse with each other in German.

Next door there is a private range for the New Braunfels Schuuetzen
Verein. A German shooting club that prides itself with continuous yearly operation dating to 1849. They take shooting, and being German, very seriously.

And yes, one of the RSO's speaks English with a thick German accent. He has been referred to as a 'nazi' more than once. Dietz charges $15 to shoot all day. $150 for year membership (includes spouse)

Here's some cool pics from the NBSV website:

    Gunz are icky.
I didn't mean Dietz had range nazi RSO.
fact is I've never had an issue at Dietz.
what I meant was are the RSO at Lone Star a pain like at Cedar Ridge.

The RSO at Lone Star pretty much leave you alone. They usually just check your rifle ammo since AP is not allowed. I have seen them get on people for taking off the eye or ear protection. Other than that they don't bother you when you are shooting.

Ya I've never had an issue the 2 times I went to LS. In fact, the first time I went was a rainy Saturday and there wasn't anyone else on the range. I took off my ear protection while testing out my japs so I could hear the gongs better and the guy never paid any attention to me.

Then again, when a guy shows up with 2 jap rifles and reloaded rounds I guess it's safe to assume he's not a beginner!

Sorry, didn't see your previous post referring to LS. I think he charges $15 to shoot all day too.
