Two things bother me the most about this election, besides the historical mid term stats:

Democrats outvoted the Republicans in the Presidential race 2016 by roughly 3m votes.
And 45 incumbent Republicans are not running in mid terms.

Hopefully will wake up on Nov 7 as surprised (pleasantly) as on Nov 9 2016.
Depends on where they turn out (e.g., which state, district, etc.).

I could care less if 3 million more Dems turn out in San Francisco, won't change the outcome. Was gonna be Dem anyhow.

Yeah if you take away CA Hillary lost by 1.5 million votes. That's why the electoral college exists. Again, I'm nervous about the voting numbers.

Basically you take the average person... now imagine that person in your life... now understand half of all people are stupider than that... and any one of them can vote. Scary stuff.

More accurately, it's because on election night there isn't one national Presidential election, there are 50 state elections (plus ones in our territories like Puerto Rico) whose results are pooled to choose the President. Because the United States is supposed to be an alliance of independent states rather than a big conglomeration under the control of two or three major population centers.

    Damn.
    That's Austin.
Maybe those straight ticket democrat votes really will tally for Cruz.

I've got a bad feeling that this election will be contested and fought over for a long time.
    Neither side will concede.

380K in Bexar county. Double the last midterms, close but shy of 2016.

Expecting another 100k in person with 42k mail in ballots distributed.
