She actually tried to file a restraining order against the commissioner's court to prevent from being replaced. She's definitely lost her mind.
"Today visiting Judge John Gabriel heard Constable Vela's application for a temporary restraining order requesting Bexar County commissioner's court be prevented from replacing her," said Larry Roberson, Civil Division Chief with the Bexar County District Attorney's Office. "The court denied Constable Vela's request to stop commissioner's court from Interviewing and appointing her successor and instead granted the County's request for an order to move forward with the selection process and appointment. A hearing on October 11, 2019, will determine when and if the appointment becomes effective."

The law is the law. It would have been one thing if she had coyly teased that she's "pondering the feasibility of a run for sheriff"; however, at the time of the raid, she said that she was "officially announcing a run for sheriff". The first would not have seen her automatic resignation whereas the latter clearly triggers the automatic resignation due to the fact that she is >13 months out from the election.

Oxfords or brogues?
Now heres a subject that could take up 200 pages worth of bandwidth and start a civil war.
A good oxford is an adequately acceptable shoe choice for most. Brogues! Now that screams sophisticated and timeless. So no brogues do no scream old geezer, rather they scream class, eternal and style. Not everyone can pull off brogues. Especially the multi color examples. If you gotta ask why...well you'll never be capable of understanding it in the first place.
