Friday lunch gatherings for 2014

Good call on Luby's. That was some perseverance in the face of overwhelming lunch odds.

Congrats on finally becoming a bonified Texan. Now you just need to get a pickup to consummate it.


For future reference, we decided that our backup plan for any future lunch outages will be Luby's.

It was a really good, overpriced, grilled turkey/cheese samich. I nearly had a plate of BBQ pork ribs for $2 more.

Cold? What cold. This is a very mild winter by the standards that I am used to.

The only thing that will deter me is the loathing that I have for meeting one of the Cretans from around here that is too stupid to leave early for wherever he/she needs to be and therefore has an uncontrollable need to tailgate and blow through stop lights even when the conditions are not marginal.

The body shops around here after the last two "ice storms" must be making money nearly at the rate that the mints are printing it.

Wisconsin I see in your location? I spent a lot of time at Ft McCoy, Neshkoro and my favorite area was up by Tomahawk and Park Falls.

Agreed this version of winter is mild but it is cold for here. My peoples back in N. IL are at about -5 tonight.

Crummy thing is they keep talking about possible freezing rain until early afternoon...pretty clear out there at 0900. Of course, my doc's appt is 15 miles in the wrong direction from Mongo. Still gonna try but y'all go ahead and start without me!
