For reasons only speculated politicians want that. Retirement will be a hard goal for a lot of us. Affordable economy may be done. The damage done to our country and it’s people from a black hole of a government has potentially put the nail in the coffin.
I thought that when I was in my prime.
I tuned out the world, kept busy working and raising a family.
From here, it looks like me and mine are going to be ok.

...all said bosses friends in real estate are going to get stupid wealthy...

...its going to be just like Houston...
If I remember correctly, there have been two times in the history of Houston when the entire city council, every single member, was a real estate developer.

That says a lot about Houston, a lot more than I care to write at the moment. But none of it is good.

I get it but the inflation rate to income levels has gotten out of hand. Cars, homes, land, fuel, and not to mention the abuse of social security. These politicians need rope.

I gave up on receiving social security in 1984.
It was never a part of my retirement plan.
I might actually get some of my stolen money back someday.
Might not. I haven't worried about it in nearly 40 years.

I’m not planning on it just bitching. I’m more angry with the irs reform. Even if I’m successful in building a good retirement they are going to be a bunch of thugs.

    grumpy old lawn mowing geezers
30+ years ago when I bought my house, the guy across the street and one house down was one of those. He mowed his lawn twice a day, every day during the summer. His front yard looked like a magazine cover.

I will never forget the first time I started mowing my lawn. He came charging out of his house to come tell me I was mowing it wrong. I was mowing it, apparently, in the wrong direction.

I just stared at him. He went home. We never spoke again.

There was a guy mowing at midnight. He looked like he might have been tripping balls
I don't mow at midnight. Further it gets into summer and the hotter and more humid it gets, I wait until after the sun sets to mow, and it's dark by the time I stop for the night, hence the LED lights on the mower.

I do this for safety reasons, since I have had heat exhaustion twice during the summer in the past. That ain't no fun at all. I hate going to the ER.

Just do what I do and pass out in the pasture. It’s fine.
