So, I've been thinking that this Black Friday and Cyber Monday hasn't been the greatest for deals, at least concerning what we are looking at in this forum. On my way in to work listening to the abomination that is Houston radio, a few hosts said the same was true for the "average shopper" as well.

What are y'all's thoughts? Were there more or fewer deals this go round? Or am I just too damned calloused and cheap?

I think a lot of it boils down to what sort of things you were looking for. I was looking at optics this year and found a couple of good deals. Savage had some with their rebates on top of sale prices.

Freedom Munitions has 9mm Hush on sale for .23/rd plus shipping this morning.
I just ordered my case, still in stock as of now.
This stuff is seriously quiet. The brass is junk, though.

That's very hard for me to answer since the only items I was interested in were gun related, but I don't think I heard much of the craziness of past Black Fridays.

What I've noticed, at least for firearm related items, is that a lot of places are advertising Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, but when I check, the prices are the same as they were two or three weeks ago. Except for a few "select items" there really is not much savings to be found. Especially ammo. Sportsman's Guide does have free shipping, no minimum.

I've seen the same. That's kinda what spurred my question. Outside of a couple MIRs, it all looked to be standard pricing. I figured that with Remington talking default, they'd be pushing stuff out at cost.
