Cannot speak specifically to 10mm, by I have a 9mm and .45 Rock Island that are very reliable.
I figure if STI can by RIA mad components and get 3 to 5k for their guns, RIA must not be too bad! Some years ago I owned a RIA 1911 in 45 and it was a very solid and dependable pistol and well worth the money.
IMO, the RIA and the MetroArms 1911's are very underappreciated 1911 on the market. They are not as nicely finished as some other brands, but they are well built, reliable and decently accurate pistols. For the price, a person wanting a good decent shooting pistol, they are hard to beat for the price.

That is what I was aiming to state. Certainly a RIA in no STI, but then again its not 3k either. I think for the money RIA is tough to beat.I don't know about currently, but STI was sourcing a lot of their frames and slides from RIA for a lot of their 1911 pistols. And STI has reputation for well built pistols.
