I am Burleigh Wood from Corinth Texas.
Avid shooter my whole life, but 5 years ago, while volunteering for the Boy Scouts, took the NRA Rifle and Shotgun shooting Instructor and Range Safety officer courses to help the next generation to learn about firearms and shooting the correct way, and loved it. I went on to become a pistol instructor so I could assist with the older scouts and venturing crews in shooting the revolvers and semi-automatics. Being a pistol instructor got me into teaching parents who wanted to learn which evolved into several wanting to get their LTC license so I applied and went to Florence Tx to get my LTC certification. Since then I have expanded my skill set and as of last week, I completed my NRA Training Counselor Workshop in Virginia.
I am on the Scouts BSA Longhorn Council Shooting Sports Committee where I work with shooting events on a district and council level as well as assist other volunteers to become instructors. For the past three years, I have taught/ran the September, Scout month, Rifle Shooting merit badge at the Bass Pro shop in Grapevine, TX.
I believe I signed up on this forum in the past as I get emails once in awhile about recent posts. I am coming around more often to see what I can learn from others on here either about firearms, gun safety, or LTC news.
