If you would never own a HiPoint then you've never shot a HiPoint.

I have a safe full. They were cheap, bought locally. I have a brace of 9's and 45's.

The pistols are big and ugly but they go bang everytime.

The carbines are a little heavy but are the greatest of fun. Always go bang. My kid has put a 9mm bullet through the same hole at 20 feet. Iron sights and freehanded. The 45 (of mine) just goes "kerchug"....it doesnt go bang. I dont even wear ears with it.

Having them, shooting them and enjoying them, I would say I dont care for the pistols because of their downside, big and ugly, but I love the carbines alot.

    Dont have the 10mm yet.

Havent taken the HighTower dive yet. All the HiPoint guys lovem though.

I don't own one but I got a chance to shoot one. It never jammed or failed to shoot. This pistol had a bunch of rounds through it. If that was all I could afford for self-defense I would buy one. There are some youtube videos about these guys trying to make it break. It was amazing. Plus the Hi-Point has a lifetime guarantee. The guys used a hammer to drive a .223 case into the bore and then test fired it. Then they drove a 3/8 bolt into the bore with a hammer which finally did it in. However, it only bulged the barrel and didn't blow the gun up...lol.

    Joe Biden? Is that you?
No..I have not devolved into creepy Joe yet.lol. Just seen the damage that can be done with a 12 gauge loaded up with dove loads...if the distance aint too far. Also not bad about passing through interior walls and killing a kid asleep in the next room or a next door neighbor etc.

If you're going to carry inside the home, I think .380 is too small. The intruder in this case had a gun and was willing to use it. I'd go at least 9mm.

I agree, that's why I would never go "investigate" a noise without grabbing something else.
Every other gun I have situated around the house is 9mm/38+p or greater.
However, the .380 is loaded with Buffalo Bore +p.
