    Not sure what you're asking.
I saw the work a guy did on a 10/22 barrel and was impressed. He said he has another full time job but he would move the front sight back on my factory barrel, cut the barrel to 16.5", thread the barrel, and put on a target crown for me. I'm sending him my barrel and bolt tomorrow. He asked me to not use his name.

Its costing me 160$ for him to rework my bolt and do my barrel work.

Maybe I'm confused. You said you have a Spectre II in NFA jail correct?

If so them why would you buy an integrally suppressed barrel? That's $800 that you would spend that obviously could only be used on that gun and what would you then do with the Spectre?

Also, many integrally suppressed rifles don't have long enough barrels for standard .22 ammunition to reach super sonic speeds meaning cheap ammo that cycles fine and takes full advantage of the suppression by not having the sonic crack.

Lots of advantages to an integrally suppressed carbine.

Funny you say that. I picked up a M&P 15-22. Shot it at the lease last weekend and many standard rounds were subsonic in it. Very few had the supersonic crack to them. This was shooting through my Spectre II can.

    Exactly.

And when you have the barrel lengths common in an integral suppressor they all stay subsonic.

    Works really well.

I got my threaded barrel and reworked bolt back today. I don't understand what was done exactly but pictures and a range report are happening soon. Maybe next Monday. I'm using a a2 flash hider as a thread protector.

    Close up.

No pics without the A2. It's my thread protector. They reused my front sight. It looks like it did from the factory, just shorter.

    This thing is fun.

    Sounds like Red Jacket...

    Too soon?
I can say it's not red jacket. The guy said he doesn't do barrel work anymore so I shouldnt "tell everyone on a forum" because he agreed to do mine.

He's a part time gunsmith with another full time job. I respect him enough to not share his info if he doesn't want the extra work.

I should be able to give a range report tomorrow.
