"was" going to order some 9mm from Freedom (for an upcoming trip) but stopped by the ammo counter at my local WMT this morning - they had 50 & 100 round boxes

    bought 4 x100 for a good score (Federal 115gr)

I apologize in advance if it's already been asked but,

Are there any good websites to buy ammo from that don't charge you up the butt for shipping? And for 9mm as well...so hard to find them

Gander in Spring is stocked up to the gills with most every caliber. Prices are exorbitant, of course (which is why they have stock) but if you're out and you really need something, they've got it.

They even had 22lr Green Tags, and they even had some 22 longs and 22 shorts! Not much, and it was $19 for the green tags, but at least they had something.

Freedom has a no limit $5 shipping going on now..

have ya noticed that Freedom "does that" (cheap or free shipping) when they have hardly anything anyone wants in stock ?

and, they've dumped their "in stock now" feature :(

Actually, I just clicked on the link that F350-6 provided in his post. The in-stock-now feature is working, and they have all the common calibers in stock from .380 to .45 ACP, .223 and 5.56. Still no 10mm tho.

Academy on Preston in Frisco has bulk pack (Winchester & Remington) .22's. Also nice supply of 9mm target fmj ammo (white box Winchester, Aguila, & another brand I'm spacing on). I got a box of the Winchester .22 HP's for $22 and 100 9mm for $27. First bulk .22 I've seen in a year and I felt like a kid on Christmas morning.

Did you mean Six 50 round boxes?

Never saw a 650 round box of CCI SV: They either came in 50 round paper boxes (10 boxes to a brick), or in 100 round plastic containers.

stopped by local Academy and WMT today..

Academy didn't have .357mag that I was looking for - most everything else tho ('cept .22.r), including WWB and Remington 9mm, plus Aguila 124gr 9mm..

    WMT had 250rd packs of UMC 9mm, .380, 38spec +P HP and .357mag - also Remington 9mm

pretty good day - got 400 assorted calibers - didn't want to be greedy

Today: Academy in Selma had a choice of Rem 525 Golden Bullets or CCI Tactical AR 300 round count.

Cabela's in Buda had no .22 LR, but about eight lbs of Win 748, was flush with primers from CCI, Remington, and Federal, and had shelves filled with every other caliber/brand/bullet weight. Federal 7.62x51 dropped to $14.99 per box of 20.

Academy in San Marcos had a shelf full of Federal Auto Match .22 at 10:00 a.m. They overlooked several cases that were taken off the truck last night and did not discover them until after opening.

I'm good to go for this week.

On Monday next, the hunt begins again!

Academy in the Woodlands was somewhat stocked today. They had dozens and dozens of boxes of Aguila Colibri, Federal Ultra Match, some Winchester tin hyper-velocity hollowpoints ($8.99 for 50), American Eagle hollowpoints ($2.19 for a box of 40), and they even had about eight 325-round boxes of Federal AutoMatch; $17.99. This was at about 5:30 p.m. today, they may still have some of it.

UPS will deliver some Midway USA 500 rounds of Norma Tac-22 tomorrow.

Yup, snagged two bricks of Aguila Super Extra from them the other day, one high velocity and one subsonic. (I actually mistook the Subsonic for standard velocity so hopefully it will perform as well as the SV does for me, otherwise I may have to sell it.)
