I am pretty sure we were referring to wholesale prices on used guns not wholesale on a new gun. Maybe wholesale is not the exactly right term for it but I would have thought anyone would have understood that what was meant was you would essentially be getting lowballed by a dealer at a show, gun store, or pawn shop..

Bottom line is, that businesses, doesn't matter which, are in business to make a profit. What a gun is worth, depends on the buyer, if he is looking to make a profit, he's not going to pay something he doesn't believe will make a profit. A buyer looking for something to add to their collection will pay closer to what a gun is actually worth.

OP, don't try to sell to a gun shop or all the guns as a single lot. You'll get ripped off.
Gun shops are notorious for offering pennies on the dollar when buying guns.

Sell them piece by piece to individuals.
The down side is that takes time and effort.

Another way you can try is to contact a professional auction service. They get their cut when the guns sell.
Gun auction prices are usually right at market value.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m starting to think............ I’m just a bit skeptical I guess.

Or at the very least impatient. :)

She has a lot to learn, categorize and price.

C’mon, you don’t think a day is enough time to go from no knowledge to researching and listing prices for 50 firearms? That should only take 20-30 minutes TOPS!

It's not just businesses. I contend that any gun buyer will do whatever they can to get the best price possible. It's the first law of economics...
