The United States Government has attacked churhch groups on our own soil, stripping them of their rights to BE a church, gone in and KILLED everyone on site...while these people never hurt ANYONE. Not ONE single person.

    You mean Waco?

However...you left a religious group that is KNOWN to be ANTI-AMERICAN CONSTITUTION want to build a monument to their brazen attack and killing of the infidel on our soil, and you want to defend them.

I don't want to defend them, I want to defend our Constitution. THEY can all go jump off Lady Liberty and go splat for all I care.

I'm sorry, CW, but you are as out of touch with reality as your hero and leader POTUS.

Okay, this line is getting a little old now. Everyone acts like I voted for the guy and it's more than a little annoying at times. Give it a rest, man.

    Texas!

Waco. Where they KNEW the guys SCHEDULE and could have taken him peacefully ANY TIME THEY WANTED...yet they waited till a Sunday morning when everyone was asleep, and they attacked, not went to the door and knocked...attacked. And the number of blue helments and strange accents of those in uniform was a little scary, too...

There is also the fiasco with the Mormon sect just south of where I live...all they did was marry young girls, never killed anyone...yet we shut them down, or tried to...but we let tie Islamic Fundamnmentalist continue to operate? What is WRONG with this picture???

Where were the constitutional rights of THOSE religious groups?

Soooo... since the government has a history of making a fiasco with various religious groups you think they should do it in this case as well? I don't see where you're going with this.

@Skeeter: The beer ain't here, man. Dry, dry, dry...

You continue to show your cluelessness more every day my friend...

Group A has memebers that KILL Americans, they are allowed to do what they want to do.

Group B never bothered anyone....they are killed...

Why can't we apply a little FAIRNESS and BALLANCE here. The very FOUNDATIONS of Islam make them our enenmy, not a church group. They are building a monumnet to their conquest at ground zero of the attack they made on American soil and using our own constitution that they want to by pass for their own people to bring about a slap in our face.

The very foundation of THE BRANCH DIVIDIANS made them harmless...well armed...but harmless...they are dead...all of them. Just like the Islamic faith teaches about you and me, because we are infidels.

You think it's new yorkers who are shooting at you over there?

Look, it's not against the law to build a mosque. Period. It's a patentedly BAD move (not to mention HUGELY unpopular) to build it where they want to build it, but it's not against THE LAW.

If I were them, I would expect a significant backlash from the public if they were to go ahead with construction. In fact, they should expect things to actually go significantly sideways because some folks are going to feel compelled to act in such a way as to either impede or altogether halt construction. Given the current state of things in this country, not expecting it would be - well - stupid.

More and more as I go on in this thread I can't help but feel like you're trying to goad me or something. You seriously think that Christianity is innocent of extremists and violence in their history?

Muslims are building a community center like five blocks from where the World Trade Center used to be. You keep saying "they" as though every Muslim in the world was in on it. They weren't.

The very foundation of THE BRANCH DIVIDIANS made them harmless...well armed...but harmless...they are dead...all of them. Just like the Islamic faith teaches about you and me, because we are infidels.

I was pretty young when the whole Waco incident went down and as such I didn't follow the news too closely on it, but tell me: What CHURCH is "well armed"? Seems an oxymoron. Thou shalt not kill, pass the ammo.

You think it's new yorkers who are shooting at you over there?

Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant. I don't think it's Muslims that are shooting at me over here. It's extremists.

Nah, you're just paranoid...TRUST me, I'm not LIKE the others...I'M your FRIEND!
Besides, I'm learning how to break up quotes...so please make your response long again!

You seriously think that Christianity is innocent of extremists and violence in their history?

Never heard of a Christian Organization sending members to a foreign country, training them to fly, high-jacking airliners full of innocent people and then using them as flying bombs....or did I just miss that on the news?

Nor does Christian teaching that is based on the Bible promote killing anyone who doesn't believe as you do...

Muslims are building a community center like five blocks from where the World Trade Center used to be. You keep saying "they" as though every Muslim in the world was in on it. They weren't.

The very teachings of their holy book tells them to kill anyone who doesn't believe it. It also tells them to lie and decieve any way they must in order to kill anyone who doesn't belive it, and if that means making friends and playing nice untill you have a chance to kill them, you are to do so...So, if the shoe fits...

I was pretty young when the whole Waco incident went down and as such I didn't follow the news too closely on it, but tell me: What CHURCH is "well armed"? Seems an oxymoron. Thou shalt not kill, pass the ammo.

He was not as well armed as post of us on this forum. And I know a LOT of pastors who are well armed...

Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant. I don't think it's Muslims that are shooting at me over here. It's extremists.

You mean like the ones who flew the planes in to the World Trade Center in the first place? Oh, and like the ones that are trying to build a mosque there now? Hmmm...seems to be a pattern here...

Maybe I'm reading too much of "The Prince" but I firmly believe that Obama is the best thing that could have happened to this country. Building that mosque is some of the same medicine.

We talk and talk and then talk some more. Fortune favors action.

Let them build temple. Let them think they have won something. LEt them think they are the change they have been waiting for.

The real question is whether or not Americans are willing to get back to basics and focus on what matters. Do we expect somebody else to show up and fix things for us, or do we have the spine to take care of it on our own? I really don't know.

The debate about the mosque is good. I don't like the idea of it. But our country's foundations and laws say that they get to build it. So be it.
Go find every phelping islamic terrorist and kill them. Let them know they have won.

My hope and prayer is that CW's tour in that sand box is soon over and that he and others are happily reunited with family and friends. Plus, that in November the True real patroitic Americans vote every liberal, socialist, commie, moslem and moslem loving despots out of office forever. And that the mosque yodelers not build their moon worshipping outhouse in the location but instead in the cesspool neighborhoods where they congregate and live.

    100% Islamophobe, I guarantee !!

Trying to keep this one brief because I'm trying to get some sleep here shortly.

Never heard of a Christian Organization sending members to a foreign country, training them to fly, high-jacking airliners full of innocent people and then using them as flying bombs....or did I just miss that on the news?

Well, there was the Crusades. That aside, we weren't attacked by Islam, we were attacked by terrorists. It isn't the same thing. Timothy McVeigh blowing up a building Oklahoma City, countless people blowing up abortion clinics, and Fred Phelps are no more a cause to persecute all Christians than 9/11 is to persecute all Muslims.

@Skeeter - General Order 1B, no alcohol. Alcohol would make the cigar club I run on the base a lot more interesting if it were allowed, though. :)

    Well, there was the Crusades.
What in the heck do you know about the crusades? Do you know the facts? The folks fighting in the crusades were on the DEFENSE not the offense. Defending themselves from guess who. Islam! The nuts from the religeon of peace.

BS. It is the same thing. The people who sent suicidal idiots over here and killed inocent people want to build a trophy on that spot to remind the world that they're taking over. One more little jab as if the killings weren't enough. And you take their side every time. What does that say about you?
