I'm in the market for a 45 ACP handgun that is DA/SA with decock (prefer no manual safety). After a tedious internet search, I found the following candidates (some of which are no longer made):

    SIG SAUER P220 series
    SIG SAUER P227 series
    Beretta Px4 Storm
    S&W SW99 (no longer made?)
    H&K HK45 series
    FNH FNX-45
    CZ 97 BD
Colt Double Eagle (no longer made)

This will be for concealed carry, and I'm set on this caliber. I maed the list to try and do some comparisons in the stores and on the range, just wondering if I missed anything else out there. Would welcome opinions if you desire.

    imho:
    - From the list you posted: HK 45c - Compact
    * I prefer the LEM trigger over the DA/SA, but that's personal preference.

I know you said DA/SA, but the Glock is both and neither... and I've carried a Glock 21 for a long time and love it. Don't want to trash your thread if you honestly want the DA/SA, though. From the list, the Px4 is interesting, the FNH IS SEXY, but there's also the older S&W 4506/4516 series if you can find them.

Don't know how you arrived at that decision, and I will not argue the point, it is your decision.

A 1911 locked and cocked is perfectly safe -- even more so than a Glock.

Round in the chamber, hammer cocked, safety engaged.

Carry in a proper holster ... good to go.
