Yes.
How will you carry the pistol on the motorcycle?
Do you have saddlebags, or something?
You need to read the rules more closely,..I’m definitely going to get an LTC in the future, but it says I have to wait 6 months after being a resident..
Yes. As a matter of fact you can have the rifle on a sling fully loaded strapped to you. Legal but not recommended. Also, the range may not let you carry a loaded rifle in until you get to your range spot. It is legal in Texas to carry a loaded long gun. I have a sub2000 which I can carry concealed in a briefcase or computer bag without a LTC but I do have one.Ok here's another question: I ride a motorcycle. If I purchase a rifle, and a rifle bag, can I wear the bag with a strap and go to the range?
Nice T120Yep, got a custom gun bag for when I lived in LA and transported my pistol.

can’t wait that long to shoot some targets tho!
You need to read the rules more closely,
Specifically TGC 411.173(a)

Sign up for LTC class. Attend and shoot. Do your fingerprints, apply under the above provisions.
I believe you need a LTC to carry on your person in a car. You can have the gun in a glovebox without a LTC.Welcome to Texas. As has been covered, you do not need a license to carry in order to carry on or about your person in your car, or while going to and from your car and a place where you can legally carry, like a gun range.
Google Texas Legislature> Statutes> Statutes > Penal Cofe and read 46.02 and 46.15 (b)
Loaded matters not.
