Not that any of this matters anyway....we could very well see Marshall Law before the end of the year, and that would trigger a Civil war, but not North against South this time, but drawn along racial lines, econmic lines and Socialist vs Conservative...and then there is the border to our south...

I don't see that happening. Bear in mind that Washington wants to keep their jobs. They will sell us what we want to hear and do something else, as they always have. Nothing will change in November, and Washington will call our bluff (tea parties). Fact is, people aren't motivated enough to actually do anything but talk and show up to the occasional meeting.

No, it means your PROCESSES are flawed. It is MUCH easier to effect change from WITH IN a system than from OUT SIDE, and when a section of the population that basicly wants the same thing, smaller govt, more freedom, and that is about 50% of the population, and 50% want MORE govt and LESS freedom, and you have one person running for office from each side, then you have a SHOT at getting a perosn in office that you can then HOLD THIER FEET TO THE FIRE AND MAKE CHANGES....If you have TWO people runiing to represent ONE group, and ONE running to represent the other, you can be assured the "side" that only has ONE choice will be in power.

This is where I disagree with political agenda from minority groups like the Libertarians / Constitutionalists / etc. The whole vote for your conscious, not along politics is exactly why every political group in the US has had issues. If they would take a page from Ron Paul and run on a major ticket, with conservative values, then the Republican party would be alot easier to get behind.

I love it when people say that we should vote for whom we want regardless of politics, ie. Medina in TX. It's no different than the people that sit in the forest speaking to the tree spirits. Politics is always a force, and it's best to work within the confines of the system unless you can motivate millions of people to force a change via gunpoint.

The main point is to get behind he or she who can win against Magog and the liberals, socialists, spread the wealth, people. But backing conservatism via many political parties may very well split the vote and allow the will of the present "abortionists of freedom and the American Way" to stay in power. Granted the Tea Party and Libertarians have the right things in their hearts and the GOP needs tuning up somewhat, but the BIG R is what will beat obama's gang of thugs and we may give the Pubs a tune up then...Third Parties in America have arisen but not endured....Hang together Americans or we'll hang individually without a firearm for defense against obama's tyranny !

Let me give Clocker here a little history lesson. I may be off a bit on some minor details, the mind is the second thing to go.

In 1994, demos had control of both houses. With General Slick Willie running roughshod over what was left of the Repug party, the demos got complacent. Someone said "it's TIME to reel in those nasty Gun Lovers". The Semi-Auto Assault Weapon Ban was passed, even though there was much debate, by seemingly untoward means.

When you saw the way Obummer care passed, it was similar to that. Lots of kicking and screaming.

But demos paid, OH how they paid. The election of 1994, and Shooterman can attest to this, our 30 year demo congressman who voted FOR it, the "Honorable" Jack Brooks, was sent packing. Our 20 year demo State Senator, the "not so honorable" Carl Parker, was sent packing just for the fun of it.

There used to be jokes about Jack Brooks, who matter of fact was a Marine Officer at Iwo Jima, that the county sold the voting machines to a South American country and he was elected there.

Sadly though, the Repugs actually helped Slick Willie to get reelected in 96. Repugs used their "Contract for America" to pass Welfare Reform and a balanced budget, which he signed. The economy, "Clinton's" economy, boomed and he naturally took full credit for it, reelected easily against Dole in 1996.

No less than Slick Willie himself has said over the years that the "NRA", which means gun owners, were instrumental in the elections of 1994 and 2000. He was stupid but he was no dummy. But in actuality the demos shot themselves in their own feet.

Today I hope we are not seeing parallels. The demo's "Assault Weapon Ban" is today's Obummer Care. But if Repugs take control and help the country recover, you can bet your pea picking heart that Obummer will take FULL CREDIT.

In reference to the 1996 election, and Clinton's win over Doyle...

The Dems could have run a GOAT against Doyle and won...but hey, it was "his turn"...

The thing I hate about the Pubs, is the "good ole boy" system. I think we are seeing a change in that now that the Tea Party is on board...

I quit listening to the "judge" when I heard him comment, on Shepard Smith's show, about the Joe Horn no bill. He was ranting about the wrong decision and how Texas is screwed up. As proof, he stated that in Texas, it was legal to shoot and kill a peace officer who tried to arrest you if the arrest was unlawful.

That is somewhat off topic, but I ask you who favor a Texas Secession; what will we do for national defense?

Funny you should ask that particular question...

in order for Texas, or any other state, to exit the union, it would have to be a "staged" withdrawal, no other way for it to work...UNLESS it was an TEOTWAWKI situation...and at THAT point, all bets are off. scary times. Prepare for protecting and taking care of yourself and those close to you the best you can, but hope and work toward NEVER having to take advantage of any of the preparations...

I love my old shooting buddy like a brother, but I must set the record straight here.

Jack Brooks was Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. He actually had 42 years service in the Congress. I can remember as a teenager going to ball games with my Dad at old Stuart Stadium and being introduced to him. he wore an old threadbare suit and scruffy shoes. He became a multi-millionaire while in the Congress.

He let ( Brady, not the AWB ) out of committee. It was passed, Ali Baba Gore cast the deciding vote in the Senate, and the rest, ( including the NRA compromising on Brady Two ) is history. Tanya Metaska, then President of the NRA-ILA came to Jefferson County to plead for Jack's job. Tough titty, Miss Kitty, Jack is history.

like maybe forming a new Govt with Oklahoma, Louisianna and NM....
Lets leave Louisiana out of it... Too many leaches there hooked on welfare. I like the idea of TX joining up with AZ. NM will just have to lay there and enjoy being the meat of our freedom sandwich.

Secession or not, I think it'd be a great idea for all the southern boarder states to band together on our issue that the rest of the nation doesn't have to face.

I think that trying to save the USA at this point is like trying to re-float the Titanic. Best to cut our losses and turn Texas into a lifeboat for Freedom and Democracy.

As for joining with other states, well, that didn't work out so well last time. Arizona would be the best choice, but NM is in between and I doubt if they'd go along.

That is PERFECT for a signature. :D

That aside, wouldn't it be better to wait a few years to see the results of the next few elections? There is always a possibility that Washington may listen to the voters when they start losing offices in record numbers.

Start the preparations now. We can always stop if we need to, but it puts real pressure on the other side.

Plus, if we don't win in the political arena, we can always just continue on our course. Sit and wait is nothing more than procrastination. "I'll decide next month" gets extended to a year, gets extended to another year... "Just one more election!"

Too late. Start the ball rolling.

    Ideas? No.

    Methods? Yes.

This is correct. While I consider myself a Libertarian, Ron Paul is probably the only Republican candidate that I can actually get behind because he runs on a Republican ticket though his ideals coincide with my own. Which is why I voted for Ron Paul last election. *shrugs*

That satisfies voting with my conscience and having a chance to actually make a difference in politics. I wouldn't be happy voting for the average Republican or Democratic candidate because (and I've said it before) they are all big government Washington fat cats.

If at first you don't "See Seed", keep looking until you do see seed...Well presently a house cleaning in Washington would be better by far than a Civil War but if Texas was forced into secession from the US, we should export a few million persons of the type that we find repugnant to Kalifornia & Mass, NY, & NJ....You know who they are.
