    Basically, country music on the radio sucks. When I was in San Antonio there were no red dirt stations. One of the stations played that stuff from 10 PM to 5 AM, during the workday it was back to the Nashville crap. In Virginia we don't get anything good. There's a station out of Harrisonburg that plays some of the older stuff (only time I've heard Robert Earl Keen outside of TX), but mostly county stations this way are crap.

    Point of the rant-
    The stuff coming out of Texas (and OK) beats the shit out of Nashville. Mainstream country nowadays is nothing more than an extension of pop music. I can't wait to get back to Texas where the real music is.


    On topic-
    When I was a kid everyone listened to Sublime and System of a Down. I never hear that stuff anymore.
