They may not be lying but they aren't remembering things as clearly as they believe they are.

I say again: No politician would ever say that. Even if they actually believed it. It would be political suicide and you don't get to become a Senator or President if political suicide is your modus operandi. He thinks he has enough supporters and can get enough of his policies in effect fast enough that he will become "president for life" he doesnt care. Like his EO that no employee of the gov't can talk to the press without consent from the whitehouse of have we forgotten that already. Or the bill in congress to supress the first amendment and to censor the internet. How about all the blogs talking against him that have been shut down over the last few weeks.

Here's another reason that the email chain is obviously bogus: Obama (and his writers, teleprompter, etc) are extremely intelligent and possess a vocabulary that whatever Tea Party moron who wrote that thing obviously lacks. Politics isn't a short term game, it's a long term strategy. Making wild statements like that while being the sitting POTUS would harm the Democratic party for many years to come from both ends of the political spectrum and they would lose many undecided voters and probably a lot of Democratic service members. Think about it.
