I have a night takeoff shot, hanging on my wall, signed by his entire squadron in the borders. I have never seen that particular shot on the web, so will have to see about digitizing. Hell, the dang thing is almost 50 years old.
He was a fighter pilot (F86 mostly) but he loved flying the B58.
Damn.....I am getting old....

My dad was in the USAF Air Police in 1950, assigned to Carswell AFB. Among his duties was guarding the ready alert B-36's.

it does not do it justice....in person the 4 big J79 engines could really turn JP4 into noise....and flame...

I remember seeing B-36's and B-58's and B-52's at Offutt. RB-47's were mostly at Lincoln AFB then. Great machines. Don't remember seeing a B-36 in the air. But one or another of the others flew over us almost everyday.

When you've "harvested" a 7+ foot diamondback, you do what you can to indicate the rarity and mass of such a creature.
I got mine in the driveway when I was 15 years old.
The rattler had 13 rattles and a couple of buttons. Rats had consumed the rest. It was probably older than me by a few years. That gent gets a full pass from me. That's a big snake.
