Falcon 9 1st Stage performing reentry for a landing. It's around 120 km up in the atmosphere and coming back towards the earth at close to mach 10. The rings and arcs you're seeing is from the attitude control system blasting puffs of compressed cold gas to control the roll, yaw and pitch of the vehicle as it returns to dense atmosphere for a landing

I remember when my dad told me, in about 1980, that during the Korean War he made something like $95 a month as a sergeant and my min

That looks like a SCI-FI movie from the 50s. SO COOL!

I thought it looked retro as well :)

In the 90s, there were speed limit signs in Montana that said "reasonable and prudent". Don't know if they are still there.
No, they are not. When I drove across Montana in 1997 (at 75-80 mph) they were already planning to do away with the no speed limit thing. BTW, all the cops were hanging out in the 55 mph construction zones

Im gonna go with Sea Stallion. (you can see the rotorwash)
At first I thought it was the Stiletto, but then seeing the windows on the side, I believe you are right.

The M80 Stiletto is a cool ass boat that can go 70 mph and cuts through 13 foot waves:
