    Yeah, people are trying to scare people with videos like that. It's not the first time the armed services have sent vehicles by rail, and it won't be the last. Get me a video of them offloading and heading into a city, then I'll believe that crap.

    At Ft Hood years ago we sent them by rail to Ft Sill because we didn’t think they could make it in a single convoy on the road a couple of hundred miles.

    Rail is faster and cheaper to get equipment anywhere in the CONUS. Also, Strykers require a DOT waiver to operate on civilian roads; even though they are only 36k-40k lbs, it has to do with weight distribution of the single wheel axles.
