    What you wrote is still nonsense. If the gun store employee believes it and shapes his policy by it it is still nonsense.

    I tried several different places. All said the same thing. Must have valid Tx ID to show residency to purchase a handgun. Funny how they all do that.

    Not to mention, all of the information I can find regarding TEXAS laws says the same thing I said.

    More nonsense. Texas does not regulate the sales of guns. Thus there are no Texas laws requiring Texas ID.

    Time to Put Up:

    Show ONE Texas Law which states you must have a a Texas ID to buy a gun.

    I doubt you will ever find anyone willing to sell you a handgun without a valid Texas Identification Card.

    Like I said... Been there... Done that.

    While it may not be "law", it sure seems to be the popular policy.

    $100 if you can purchase a handgun without a valid TX ID to prove residency from someone you don't know at an FFL.
