    Here we go again:

Seems to be trigger related, as the one with the lighter flat SIG trigger (not trigger pull) did not do it.

This is gonna cost Sig some major dollars, assuming they take responsibility. I have the subcompact, compact, and a full sized tacops. I better receive recall letters.

This seems like the most cogent and well-conducted study on the issue. So no, this is NOT a "here we go again". It's more of a "here are the facts, at last".

Agree; however, this test was above and beyond what the MIL/LEO require. Are they gonna retest all of the other SFPs to the same test?

That said, I guess I should send my product registration in.

All the other striker-fired pistols seem to have the Glock-type trigger safety and thus, the trigger wouldn't move during the drop test demonstrated on the Omaha Outdoors video. The lack of the trigger safety is part of the problem, though it appears the problem is possibly solved by lowering the mass of the trigger itself, thus limiting the force generated when the pistol comes to a stop but the trigger does not, thus creating an uncommanded trigger function. Physics happens.

The thing is if the trigger needs a "Glock style" safety, Sig already has one that was an option at somepoint I guess. Now that I look at it though, I do not think it is a true safety like on Glock, M&P, PPQ, FN......

The trigger tab safety is simply an add-on textile feature for shooters who prefer to have a positive, tactile feel of the trigger prior to the trigger beginning engagement. The trigger tab safety does not replace or alter the striker safety’s function or design, as it is only an add-on option on the trigger.

Maybe I misunderstood but I thought Omaha Outdoors tested 4 pistols and only 3 would fire when dropped just right and those three were severely abused during testing before the drop test.

I'm still carrying mine until someone does a retest without damaging the pistol first.
