My trust is built with a Schedule A section, which lists everything in the trust. The trustee (or your legal representative) can add or subtract items without affecting the rest of the trust. I usually update my Scedule A (which gets notarized every time it’s changed) when I get my stamps back from BATFE. In this case, I preemptively moved my braced stuff (which were really placeholders until I had some extra stamp money) into the trust before this crap shows up in the Federal Register.I’d like to know how to do that. I had to pay and wait when I moved stuff.
If I decide to SBR them, the $200 stamp per SBR is “forebayed” at no out of pocket cost (at this time). The only way a trust can utilize this option is the items need to be in the trust before it comes out in the Federal Register. Which will be any day now. What does moving firearms into a trust do exactly? I understand usage of those within the trust but what extra benefits are there, if any?
i guess it’s possible, but not probable this could happen. First of all, it is basically the perfect legal scenario for Entrapement. Pretty sure textbooks use a very similar scenario of an example of illegal entrapement. Secondly, this is similar to the great Steet Sweeper amnesty from back in the day, but on a much greater scale. Anyone heard of any guys that got entrapped in that after the fact “sting” amnesty period? And finally, the same could be said during previous MG amnesty periods. Do I pull Grandpas MG42 out of the attic during the amnesty period, or is it a trap? Never heard of any sneaky entrapment bullshit come out of any previous amnesties—not sure why this one would be any different. But you never know?If you're on the fence about registering a braced pistol during the "amnesty" period, you should definitely watch this one.
Dear sirs: Please send me a tax stamp for my illegal SBR. Enclosed is a photo of me, my SBR, my finger prints, and my address.
your welcome

I was committed in my past (last is 5 years ago) in California once as a juvinial and once as an adult. I will be applying in Texas to purchase a firearm (now residing in texas.) I think it was a 5150 but I honestly don't remember. I was commiited by my psychiatrist and not a court in both instances. What will happen?
And the weekend. Next issue is Monday, Jan 23.
Damn, phone got me. Trust me, I know the differenceYou're
Wow......worth repeating. Not everyone. I carry a 300BO in a bag, most of the time, especially when I'm out with my wife and kids. I'm leaving the brace on and I won't be registering any of my other 7 or so pistols, or pistol conversion kits. I'm done. My wife and I had a serious conversation years ago. We will no longer abide by any further gun opinions/rules/laws whether it's from congress or the atf. Do I fear legal repercussions? No, not really. Do I think it's possible I will be found out? Yes, but unlikely, and should that day come, I am prepared to deal with it.
The way I see it is this. With all of our rights being trampled on these days, and surely worse to come, when does abiding by immoral and unconstitutional laws stop meaning you're a good citizen and start meaning you're a coward and a willing slave to a tyrannical body of power hungry, evil men? You have to draw the line somewhere and that very serious and sad conversation my wife and I had, established and defined that line. I will be passive where I am treated passively and I will react to violence with violence.
After that line was drawn, I've not really had to face decisions like this, until now. This is the first true test of my being resolute, concerning that line and I can confidently say that I will prove to have a spine. I pray I am simply left alone to enjoy my rights with my family. My family, being the key to the principle. Should I abandon the principle for something as simple as having a piece of plastic on a firearm that I am rightfully and legally allowed to own and carry, then clearly I would never be brave enough to stand up to tyranny in the protection of their rights in any other situation. And so I stand behind that line and against this unjust "ruling", with a stern intent to not comply.
Pray for me. I'm serious. Pray that I'm left alone, pray that our nation does a one eighty and repairs our broken system, pray for anyone else who will be taking the position I am taking, pray for our enemies - the men and women who have joined entities that require them to take an oath that those entities make impossible to uphold, pray for our enemies - the men and women who with clear minds intend to enslave and subjugate us, pray for the fallen men and women who've died in war protecting rights that we find easy to surrender due to our obsession with comfort and our pride of life, pray for yourselves - those of you who lack the courage to draw that line and stand ready and willing to defend what's on your side of that line, and most importantly, pray for our children and the coming generations, that they will have the rights we enjoyed and not because they did what we couldn't and fought to reclaim them, but because we -their fathers and grandfathers refused, with every drop of blood in our bodies, to forfeit them.
God bless you all and yours, God bless our great republic of Texas, and God help these United States of America.
The current President, DOJ, and BATFE may be the most anti-gun that we have ever seen--I understand caution.Never heard of any sneaky entrapment bullshit come out of any previous amnesties—not sure why this one would be any different.
What you get for being a smart assDamn, phone got me. Trust me, I know the difference
Compare 1968 to this one.Never heard of any sneaky entrapment bullshit come out of any previous amnesties—not sure why this one would be any different.
In GCA68, Congreas established a time-bound amnesty period (Nov 2 to Dec 1, 1968) during which there was legal immunity from prosecution and the registrations were done on a form unique to the amnesty period. There is no provision in the law for that immunity today.i guess it’s possible, but not probable this could happen. …
YEAH! And The FIRST thing you do is take the whole damn thing out of context and repost it on the Internet! Real fucking smart!
