Bump, because I'm shopping for a bipod now, and this thread probably saved me some grief.
Glad I could help.I too have been looking and this has been very informative. I think I will have to go Atlas and save myself headaches. Thanks Dawico!

No but I’ve heard good things from a friend. I haven’t seen it yet but he is pretty impressed for the price point. I know he has used others but only owns Harris.Great info. Anyone tried the new Magpul bipod?
I bought the AccuTac back in Aug but haven’t taken it out yet. It is nice. I bought it for my heavy 6.5CM AR build.I saw the title and read through and was going to ask if you had compared them to the Accu-Tacs as well.
As I was just looking a little more at the Accu-Tac and then all the Atlas. In gonna have to dig deeper to compare apples to apples.
As for the Harris bipeds, I have a couple and also like them for the price point. They'll do a good job for most people and are head and shoulders better than the cheapo chinese crap.
What? No Atlas?I got on a waiting list years ago for a Bobro Bipod, as I was never happy with my various Harris Engineering bipods. I really like my Bobro.

Some others that look promising.

Yeah I have an Atlas & a grip pod too. Bought the Atlas before the Bobros came available. My H&K 91 has a bipod as does my McBros. What? No Atlas?
Too mainstream......What? No Atlas?
That Bobro looks just like a GG&G. I assume it is better quality for that price.I got on a waiting list years ago for a Bobro Bipod, as I was never happy with my various Harris Engineering bipods. I really like my Bobro.

I really like the Bobro. It's parked on my Colt IAR upper. I'll shoot it from a bench when using the M16A2 lower. As far as prone I'd have to be getting shot at to go prone. I'm to old, fat & gimpy to lay down to shoot. That Bobro looks just like a GG&G. I assume it is better quality for that price.
I really liked the look of the GG&G but it's function was lacking. I won't own another.
I am in the same boat though. My bench shooting has moved to a rest but I do keep bipods on just for the handy deployment ability and prone shooting.
I haven't tried one but hear that they aren't real stable.Great info. Anyone tried the new Magpul bipod?
Why doesn’t it cut it? Due to the rifle(I won’t be getting one)or other reasons? Thanks for the info. The Harris just don't cut it on my Sig 308. Gonna give that Atlas a shot.
