I dunno about that -- I was welcomed pretty openly in my intro thread (linked earlier), with little lecturing about California.

I know from that intro thread that the people here are capable of being far more charitable than they have been in this thread.

There's a decent chance you could do this. You may even find a gap in traffic where no one sees you.

I'd suggest taking a photo without the gun then photoshop it.

I already made it clear in my post that I'm not one of those people, between owning a black rifle, "Kommiefornia", and already holding a TX LTC.

I was careful and intentional in how I worded my comment. I said "THE CA stupidity", not "YOUR CA stupidity". See the difference?
And the "liberal" and "RINO" descriptors were used by YOU, not me.

One thing most Texans possess is thick skin. You might want to ruminate on that a tad.

PS: the answer to your question is: Not a good idea for a photo op. As others suggested, you can get it done in Photoshop. I could even help you with that.
