Yup, full time 4wd hurts, I wish they had a more traditional 4wd setup. I bet it could pick up over 20mpg with no problem without having to turn the front wheels.

I drive an Explorer (company sled) that gets 21mpg daily between Austin and San Antonio... to the tune of about 350 miles a day average. I'd like to drive something that got better fuel economy but I want something that will at least give me a "chance of survival" in a crash with the other 80% of traffic that consists of Trucks, Pickups, Suburbans, etc.

While it's a very nice car, I can't help but think it looks really Japanese. I'm just not a fan of the new age stuff, too many body lines in an incredibly tall chassis. I will never understand the giant and long creases on an otherwise round car. It just has alot of emptiness. The M3 version has more features externally so it looks MUCH better, granted it's not exactly a free upgrade either.

I drive an old "brick-generation" BMW. I'm just bitter :p

Just put new tires on my BMW and drove it to Brownsville last week. The odometer rolled over 100,000 miles on the trip. Now I get to take the car in for the 100,000 mile Inspection and Service in a couple of weeks. Can you say OUCH!! ?
