    They didn't use these gals for marketing in 1927.
    Burlesque shows were around in 1927, the half nekkid ladies certainly were part of the marketing back then. If the obscenity laws in the early 20th century would have allowed it, I'm sure it would have been used to sell cars as it has in more recent times.
