Let's not forget that this is my stepdaughter, not just someone I know.

However, she is a redhead, just like mom.

September the first is when open/concealed carry without a background check or simple training goes into effect, therefore I expect more people will be carrying firearms
I doubt it. Just less people being made into criminals for exercising their 2A rights.

As much as I love her, I hope my oldest stepdaughter never carries.
She is able to get angry at the drop of a hat.
I worry she might shoot someone who cuts her off in traffic.
...or she might grow up a little and learn to control herself better. Responsibility tends to do that, and when it doesn't it's a self correcting problem.

Just a prelude to post September 1st-
Fact: The number of idiots and assholes and angry folk will not go down.
Good guess: The introduction of more firearms into that mix will result in more shootings
Hope: They shoot each other, and then the first statement no longer a fact ;)
    Grin and bear it!
Best take on the whole darned situation yet.

Sooo ... did I call it or what?
Aww-sten has been run bu leftist scumbags for a while now, nothing good comes out of that socialist cesspool.
Perry should have left the country when he had the chance. They will hang him now. Easy to assemble a jury of utter retards who will vote "guilty" if you promise them stuff.
Just out of curiosity, what are the jurors promised?

    No, I'm not anti CC.
I know a few people that I feel the same way about.

Yeah, just like in 20 other states with Constitutional Carry where that exact same thing...failed to happen.

But you guys go on and repeat the antis' fantasies of "blood in the streets" and the "wild wild west" they trot out every time restrictions on our rights are rolled back.

Article from today's Austin Newspaper, APD homicide detective says he was muzzled by Travis County DA during grand jury hearing.
Garza (the Travis County DA) is in some really hot water and could be looking at several felonies over this and some emails asking a ADA to destroy evidence, then to delete the emails about it.

No worries. Garza is a dim-oc-rat and so are the judges and rulers in that county. No problem getting rid of "unfavorable" evidence against him. That's how they operate. Get into power and collaborate to remain in power and persecute those who oppose and call them out on their wrongdoing.
I have no doubt these illegal shenanigans will be quietly swept under the rug and forgotten and Perry will get the chair. Another sacrificial lamb to the gods of oppression.

It is the State of Texas looking into him and his office, not his peers in Travis County thankfully.

Garza is an activist who ran on an extremist platform then believed the ends justified the means. I pray the full weight of justice comes down upon him.

Gotcha, did not know that detail, thank you.
However, given the fact that Paxton is a dang pussy and Abbot is afraid to say anything wrong about dimocrats, I think our chances of any justice in this once-great state are slim. I hereby officially provide my prediction that Garza will go unpunished and all his heinous crimes will be quickly forgotten.
