Several states use a stringency standard to award reciprocity.
Sucks, just renewed in Feb. Next time would have been my 3 renew. I was looking forward to just paying the fee and getting my renewed license. No class, no hassle. Now everyone gets to. Waaaa waaaa waaa.
Yet another nail in the coffin of the greedy bunch of CHL instructors. Die, bitches!
Prefer Constitutional carry, but...baby steps...
Alex
Pretty damn sure.
Having sat in a room full of asshat instructors (in a certain geographic area) price fixing so everyone "gets their share" without competition...screw 'em.
Until we manage to get these Leftists/Democrats/Socialists/Nannystaters/shitheads (but I repeat myself), baby steps are all we get on the way to Constitutional Carry.
Alex
Sucks to be me, now I gotta wait till 2018 to take advantage. Hopefully they will have carry anywhere by then.
I am not sure I agree with this. I also wonder how it will effect reciprocity. When I took the course in 07 there were people in there that didn't know what a gun looked liked. They barely qualified, yet received a chl. Now they will not have to requal in 5?
I think this will also effect everybody wanting to carry everywhere. It will be pretty easy as a politician to not vote for more carry places due to lack of training.
I let my CHL expire, now that glovebox guns are OK, it just seemed less important. I decided not to renew because I could not endure an entire day (that I can't get back) listening to a deputy constable from Podunk county, telling me not to play quick draw. I may invest 4 hours for a new one. One thing I would recommend strongly. instructors should explain in no uncertain terms that a CHL holder is not a Policeman. Is not endowed with arrest authority (more than any citizen). Has not been given a mandate to "save the world." All comments I have heard from new CHL graduates. Maybe this could be included in something you must sign. Just saying...
So mine expires four years from now. Wth do i do?
sent from my dishwasher
Nothing, right now. If the good Governor signs the bill, then in 4 years you apply online for renewal, pay your fee and be done for another 5 years.
