If you don't mind my asking, what is the rifle barrel chambered for?

They are both double barreled shotguns, both in 12 gauge but I have two conversion cartridges that accept .38 Special and .22 l.r. Those conversions are designed mostly for close distance.

A 12 gauge O/U with double triggers a very desirable setup.

My FN SLP Mk I arrived Friday at my FFL. After cleaning it up and adding the rail & charging handle, we had a get acquainted session at the range. Of course, it didn't care for cheap WWB or lower end Rem shells, but everything else ran fine.

I ended up sending it off to Sure Cycle to have the piston sealed (superb customer service, btw!). Now, the gun runs like a raped ape! Even WWB works fine in it. I brought up the issue of potential overgassing with both them and a friend who had it done to his SLP and both assured me that it's not an issue.
