LMAO... Thanks Glockster... and hell yea, I could build you one of the coolest potato guns you've ever seen! Glad this thread is going well so far and hopefully people are enjoying some pics of some nice guns.. my goal is just to show people what is out there and what you can do outside of going to your local gunstore and buying off the shelf (not that thats bad).. I like (and own) a bunch of production guns too and love them.. but sometimes I see the prices in the some of the gun shops and think "damn, what I could build for the cost of that thing"....

Awesome SBRs! I can't wait for my stamps. I want to cut my vepr down to about that length with the Krebs gas block. Wish I had had them do a KTR-03 conversion on it way back when, but I think it will come out even nicer as an SBR.

LS1Nut! On your AR10, is the fde cerakote or duracoat? Did you do it yourself? I have been wanting to do my rifle in fde and leave all furniture black. I hadn't seen many examples and yours looks really good.

Orbie, Thanks man I appreciate the compliment, My AR10 receiver set is actually Nickel Boron coated.. I do suppose it could look tannish in pics, its actually like a silverish/titanium color in person.. if your local here, Ill be hitting the range saturday prob with that one and my 338 I think, you could see it then.. Mega just came out with the Nickel Boron sets, or if you already have a set, WMD guns in FL will Nickel Boron coat anything you send them.. hope that helped man...

Shoots smooth, and I've printed sub-MOA groups with an upper that cost $280 without the bolt group.

Well the only custom i have (not counting an M-24 that i order from Remington to Army specs) is a Marlin model 60 that I am building. The stock was made from a piece of oak 4x6 scrap that i had laying around here is the tread on the recent issues with the stock http://www.texasguntalk.com/forums/gunsmithing/34888-repairing-stock.html i will continue to update that thread until the stock is done. The rest I'm am buying as individual parts from Brownell's. I decided to build this one because of a receiver i had laying around. I'm probably going to thread the barrel after all is said and done so i can put my .22 can on it.
