I’m curious what you all prefer to carry. Is there brands you’re loyal to? Any brands or models shops seem to not bring in you wish they did? Anyone prefer double stack over single or single over double?

Right now my two favorites are an xds in 9mm and a cz75 compact. Thinking of trying a Glock 29.

    G19 once in a while.

The Sig 365 appeals to me due to the mag capacity, so that might be on the short list.

Not to beat you up but we have an eleventy billion long page on what your EDC is. ;)

That said, I carry a 9mm S&W Shield 8+1 with an extra 8 on the belt. It a good carry size but something I feel I can shoot decently. I've toyed with going to a Shield 45 but I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    I have carried a G19 and a Kahr PM9 in the past.

I know. Lol. I should have just asked there. I changed the title but it would have saved us all time if I posted in the already going thread. (Sorry mods).

What made you select the sw over the g19 and pm9 other than what you already mentioned?

I don’t secretly love any of them. I post the list all the time. I like H&K’s, Sigs, 1911’s, P-320’s, Ruger revolvers. Pretty much everything except Glocks, XD’s, or M&P’s.

I didn't think I had any preference for a particular brand, but I seem to have landed squarely on Smith & Wesson. I have two Shields, 9mm and 45 ACP, and an M&P Compact 2.0. I am not stuck on S&W though. I like the XDm 3.8 Compact and Glock 17 too, I just don't carry them any more.

    Just ribbing ya. ;)

I bought the Shield after it had been out a little while and found it just worked for me. I am giving up some capacity compared to the G19 but it carried easier. I sold that when I moved back to CA for a couple of years and regret it. The PM9 had a nice but long trigger but it was 6+1 and was harder to shoot well for me. I ended up selling that and don't miss it at all.

To answer your newly added poll, I have a bias toward S&W however buying the CZ-82 and shooting @EZ-E 's CZ-75 has turned me into a CZ fan as well.

    I like the S&W Bodyguard

It conceals easily in my pocket and the external safety is easy to operate so I carry in condition one. It’s also not too snappy for a small gun.

On the weekends I usually carry my Bersa Thunder. I shoot it more accurately at the range.

The trend I see is single stacked combat Tupperware 9’s and the older gents with 1911’s. Very few revolvers.

Here’s something neat for 380 users. It prints like a wallet.
