Is this a take-a-number type que? Ok, I got #3. Shoot me a PM when I'm up.

But agree completely that a Colt isma great collector piece and can be a great shooter too. I don't own one and probably won't in the near term. Lots of options giving more pistol for the same or less money. I'll prolly have a Python before I have a 1911 by Colt - if I'm buying a name, I'm going for sexy.

Hey....don't get me wrong on Colt....own a <koffkoff> few of 'em, and love 'em - but just like ANY OTHER mechanical piece, they CAN have issues. One of the biggest things I see is folks takin' an old Colt (or about any other 1911), and trying to feed JHP's in 'em, then blamin' the GUN for not workin' with a round it was not DESIGNED for. NONE of my beloved Randall's will work with flyin' ashtrays - could make 'em capable of doin' so (and have on a couple), but I understand that the gun predates the idea of JHP on a 1911.
