Not a watch guy. Havent worn one in 30 years other than special occasions.
Have one Rolex. Its nice. It was a gift (from a rich watch guy) cause I would have never bought it.
My Pulsar was the thinnest thing around in 1980 and may still be. Its about 2 quarters thickness. Ive always loved it. Wife bought it for me for somethin. So long ago we dont remember.

Shame, that's a beautiful watchView attachment 194869 View attachment 194870 And here’s a Sinn 556 that I stupidly sold. It’s about 40mm I think, and is much smaller, thinner and lighter than the U1.
Tell us a bit about that Pulsar, thats a fine lookin piece. My Traser H3 is by far the most durable and accurate watch I've ever owned. Their customer service is another subject, but the watch is fantastic.
On arf it was mentioned the newer tags are not the quality of older offeringsI dont but if i was going to buy a top notch watch today it would be a TAG

I've had it for a couple years, don't wear it often, but it does keep really good time. It came with a nice leather strap, but when I was forced to wear it every day (while Traser was in for service), leather and sweat didn't jive for me. It's just too much of a pita to swap it back!Tell us a bit about that Pulsar, thats a fine lookin piece.
That's actually why I got my Seiko. The summer was taking a toll on me with the leather and didn't want to change the band on my Tissot, so I got the Seiko with the nylon strap. Probably going to change it to canvas though.I've had it for a couple years, don't wear it often, but it does keep really good time. AwesomeThe company has turned things around lately
Their products and positioning was strong through the 80’s, then the brand lost its way. Products stagnated, sales dropped.
A few gears ago, Jean-Claude Biver, a rockstar in the watchmaking industry, took the helm with a mission to improve products, positioning and marketing.
The products they’ve come out with since then have been very good
Here’s a good summary article:
