I’m still wondering how raising my taxes fixes the supposed problem...

If nobody can afford anything then there is no reason to produce or transport anything thus ending the pollution that is supposed to be causing the climate change.

    And honored to do so.
    Vast? no.
    Profound? I pray so.

    Gracias. De nada.

Again....we are all, way back, 100% African descent.

Will it not be a better world when we all realize we are one species with the uncertain goal of survival??

Anglo, Inuit, black, arian, Native American, Persian, Mediterranean , Asian, Hispanic.
We have scant and inconsequential phenotypic variation around our planet.
We are all, as genotypical organisms, insignificantly variable.

The sooner we accept this the better.
Our, scarcely distinguishable races, creeds and cultures are essentially and effectively identical.

Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot" should be a required listen for all of humanity.
    Once a month. Please.
When I'm king it will be.

Listen. Pause. Savor every utterance. Sagan was a poet devoted to humanity's survival.

I found Objectivism and Rand's overall philosophy to be bland and insulting to workers. She wanted only creators and owners to have anything and everyone else should put their head down and do as they're told. No, if you give a shit about the capitalist free market you read Milton Friedman (Capitalism and Freedom, Free to Choose, Why Government is the Problem to name a FEW,) Thomas Sowell, or Adam Smith.

I get it Rand grew up for like 15 years in the USSR, she hated communism, but she also was an idiot who thought herself a genius.

Rand was a cultist who wanted people to worship her and have sex with her and it comes through her writing pretty damnably. The Fountain AND Atlas Shrugged were awful books and terrible to read.

I don’t think Rand is a goddess by any means, but I also didn’t at all get the idea that she felt workers were some low tier pawns either. Although I’ve also bothered with Atlas Shrugged. In general, I find that most “workers” think way too highly of themselves ($15 and hour to flip burgers?). You make a deal to perform a task for a specified compensation and do that. Become more valuable and renegotiate if your unhappy or find a new customer and arrange a better deal if the employer is unreasonable. Most workers just want to bitch because the guy that took all the risks makes the most money (except that for many startups the employees take home nearly as much and don’t get buried in debt if it doesn’t work out).

That said, I prefer Orwell, Huxley, and Bradbury when it comes to books warning against socialism/communism. And Orwell wasn’t even anti-socialism. Just anti-totalitarian. Guess he figured if he wrote enough on how socialism goes wrong then people would do it right.

He like trying to bait people in to religious debates by referencing evolution then scurry away claiming he wants to avoid violating forum rules, usually throwing in a parting shot in the process.

    Becoming all too familiar.

Preach! I've made 2 payrolls in my new company. I haven't been paid yet.

If I fail I will wipe out my savings & still be in debt.

    It's a fun feeling.

That's what surprised me about Orwell. He was still dumb enough to think there is a right way to do socialism.
