Remington made 1903's but didn't have a hand in it's design. That credit belongs to the Mauser brothers and US ordnance dept. That Remington turned into the 1903?

yea I dont think that will stop me from getting one but that is good to know tyWell let me tell ya. I have a hard time racking unless the hammer is cocked. Disassemble is impossible for me without the provided tool. Now on all other 1911's I can rack slide with hammer down and disassemble with no extra tools. When the last round is fired the slide release will not let go unless you pull the slide back a bit. Now it was like this out of the box, after 500 rounds or so that should change. All reviews list this as a common issue on the new ones.
Gotta get it cerakoted hot pink to match your creedmorI bought a couple 9mm 1911s within the past two years. Sold one, kept one.
I keep hearing that Kimber 1911s are defective is some way? But I love mine. Granted I have only shot around 200 rounds of 9mm through it, but it has yet to have a problem. Trigger is butter smooth. Accuracy is very good. Balance is really nice, and yes its the bigger one.
I'm happy with it, and spent under $1000 used.

id have to go to church after everytime I shot that thingYou’re just jealous of my .448 groups.
I have multiple Kimber 1911s but I'm not really a Kimber fanboy. Just been lucky and didn't get a turd. My stainless 9mm LW government has been excellent since new. I don't remember the exact price but I do know it was under $700 brand new.Gotta get it cerakoted hot pink to match your creedmor
I think @Texasgordo has a kimber that he likes. Might be confused with another member though
