I feel like people go online and buy an AR chambered in 5.56 as flippantly as they buy a burger or a case of beer.

I think some people make uninformed decisions and buy a 16 inch AR chambered in 5.56 when it's not the best/most appropriate thing for them, that's all.

I watched a Ted talk claiming that sliced white bread is the best thing to happen to nutrition.

No its not the healthiest, most nutritious, or the BEST choice available.

But its availability, and cost, makes nutrition available to practically everyone that can make it to a supermarket.

I think a $400 AR is exactly like this. Perfect for the simple fact that its highly obtainable. Will draw many to the 2a cause once they own one. Will be effective when needed.
