I think the government should stay out of it unless the things being gouged are truly needed to sustain life (food, water, meds).

That said, if the guy selling TP for $5 a roll was to spontaneously combust, I wouldn't even bother to piss on him. Just because you have a right to do something under a free market doesn't mean you're not a piece of shit for doing it.

Well, seeing as how we went UP to $14.99/box, or $149.99/500ct, I don't know if it's gouging or not, but it's not competitive if I'm $50 cheaper! I also sold 50ct of 40S&W for $14.99 today. Gouge away! You're just gouging the suckers. A fool and their money...

We tell people all the time that we're the same price as Academy and Midway. And we know a thing or two. And we're lower sales tax. So how Academy still sells 1000x as much ammo as we do is beyond me. Bad marketing I guess.

Sig P365s just vaporized too at the distros. We're still selling at MAP $499. Maybe I'm the dumb one and I should be following suit.

The Austin American Statesman (it's a newspaper - something for old people - Google "newspaper") reported today of 255 gouging complaints in TX - mostly in Dallas & Houston.

The Statesman hardly qualifies as a newspaper.
