Nope, right. Trump has done some good, but has also done more harm to the 2nd Amendment than Obama did in 8 years, because we let him. You seem to think you have no choice in the matter. You do, everyone does. Ignore the party line bullshit and vote for a worthy candidate, regardless of what party they belong to. Otherwise, you are doing a disservice to your country and wasting your vote on an unworthy candidate.
You weren’t alive when Perot’s candidacy cost us all dearly, were you?

    birddog,

YES & Perot running gave us 8 years of SLICK WILLIE. - Does anyone think that that was a GOOD thing??

    yours, satx
No....GHW Bush running gave us Clinton. Had he stepped aside after his lips got read, Clinton would have stayed in Arkansas.

As for Trump.......I don't like golf and casinos. But I don't want to make them illegal, either.

You have a point, but I feel that most people generally know right from wrong. Political parties can skew that knowledge though. I feel that if a multi party system could be instituted in the US, the issues we are having with a divided country and the constant stalemates could be reduced at least somewhat if not significantly.

Let me put it this way. A lot of liberals are caught in this lesser of two evils debate too. While we may disagree with them on a lot, or pretty much everything, not all of them are extremists like the people they elect. Many are moderates who see two choices. Evil, and less evil, at least from their perspective. I feel this is how extremists are getting elected. They see these extremists as a better option than the people we are running, and the extremist leaders of the Democratic party do everything they can to make them believe that.

I don't know about you, but I'd far rather have a system where moderate liberals can get elected vs the extremists we have now.

A multi party system is not impossible to get, but we have to fight for it. We have to convince others to fight for it. Instead of giving up and saying that it's too hard to do, why don't you just try it. It may take years or even decades to do, but it can be done.

I loled at the MM thing.

I’m not really into the “Welcome to the Octagon: 32 enter but only one walks out!”

I’ve never voted for an “evil”; however, I have often voted for candidates who are only slightly more palatable than their opponent(s). That doesn’t necessarily make either of them “evil”, but that’s just the colloquialism that we use in this society when we say, “ the lesser of two evils”. There’s no need to go all hyperbolic about it.

I'm out in public and walked past a TV where I thought I heard them talking about the president saying something stupid to Piers Morgan.

I'm on my phone. Can anybody post the video?

Well, Obummer and his BS was clearly a better gun sales stimulus! Sucked finding 22 ammo though...

Trump There’s a lot of things that don’t make sense regarding the Second Amendment, but I do trust his judgment on Supreme Court picks . Obama left us some very radical judges .

Based on stock valuations, you can bet public gun companies like Ruger LOVED certain aspects of the Obama years

This conversation has been around presidents. Stick to the point and quit throwing dust in the air.

You saying that makes me wonder if you're even reading what I wrote. I have only addressed Presidential candidates, though nowhere in this thread has it been stated that this discussion is limited ONLY to presidential candidates. The issue is present in all elected positions and is no less relevant. Maybe the dust you are throwing up is clouding your own vision.

Can you name one third party presidential candidate (make it easy, since 1960) who was better than the party candidates?

I have answered your question with the only answer you are going to get. I find it a bit hypocritical though that you called me out for initially ignoring your question, but then you have done just done the same thing. I believe I asked you if you can say with certainty that a worthy third party candidate won't run in the future.

If they don't run, I can't vote for them. Regardless of their reason for not running. That was a rather worthless statement to make (e.g., they didn't run because they didn't think I would vote for them).

It's only worthless to those that don't understand the statement. Your mindset is the reason more worthy candidates don't run. It is so cancerous and so common that many won't try to run as a third party because they know their chances of winning are basically zero. Until that mindset changes, that won't change. It's not that there aren't good people running as third party candidates. That is not what this discussion is about and it never was. This discussion is about the mindset that prevents these candidates from ever having a chance.

You are being idealistic to the point of naivety. We aren't gonna agree on this, no matter how many times you state your position.

Then why bother even typing out a response to me if that is how you feel?

    benenglish; All,

This FOOLISHNESS by "Blooming Idiot" & the rest of the MORON LEFT is an excellent reason for every supporter of the SECOND AMENDMENT to write/email/phone the POTUS & say, "NO MORE 'gun-control' laws now or ever again."

I believe that the POTUS will LISTEN & STOP cooperating with the DIMocRATS' left on ANY subject IF he hears from his supporters/base regularly.

Note: I cannot PROVE it but I believe that DJT stopped referring to "LYING LIZ" Warren as "Pocahontas" less than a week after several of my friends/relatives & I wrote him to tell him that he was unknowingly BESMIRCHING the memory of our honorable ancestor the REAL Pocahontas, the youngest daughter of Deep Stream & Little Fawn.
(LEOs don't generally believe in "coincidences".)
President Trump DOES listen to his supporters!!!

I strongly encourage people to do what you suggested, but at this point I've lost faith in Trump ever redeeming himself on the 2nd Amendment.

I warned you all trump will not default to conservative unless forced to. Hes a raging capitalist which is fiscally conservative but the rest is up in the air. Sounds an awful lot like other New York conservatives doesnt he.

Still the single greatest judge and justice nominating president of all time. Not bad for the bumbling buffoon of Manhattan .

I voted for him, and though my vote at the time was in Oregon and thus didn’t matter, I still feel like I voted for the Antichrist.

Best case scenario he backs off. He knows this would be political suicide. Or he does it, with closing new production to us normal folk like with post 86 guns. Or he could do the bump stock thing...this is the most dangerous scenario possible because it’s nfa so we gotta turn em in or become criminals. On top of that I bet, surprise, with zero compensation.

This is bad. Right now we will see what the nra and those around him are truly made of.
