Alright boys and girls. I haven't done one of these in a while, but I figured I'd give you a heads up on some changes coming and get some feedback from ya'll.

    2) What do you feel is missing from Texas Gun Talk?

    3) If you were in control of the site, what changes would you make and why?

    5) Is there something on another forum that you enjoy that you'd like to see here?

    6) Have you liked us on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Texas-Gun-Talk/218938131470011

    Changes

    1) I'm working to improve the user experience and usability of the forum. I'm going to be making changes to the advertising system to help speed up the site for mobile and those of us not on broadband. This has the side effect of being more advantageous for the advertisers as well. The first step of this was taken a few months ago when we migrated to a faster server.

    2) I've rolled out a commission system for anyone whom wants to make some side-cash. More info can be found here: http://www.texasguntalk.com/forums/announcements-comments/34143-make-extra-cash-support-tgt.html

    3) I purchased some additional software to integrate Facebook as well as mobile versions of the site for iOS (Apple) and Android. I will be rolling these out as soon as I can get the uploaded and setup.

I like the site the way it is and I think it is really easy to use.
If I would add anything it would be a quick link that shows up on every page, along with "new post", "pm", "faq" area that gives us quick access to all threads we have posted in and then the ability to search all those post without searching the rest of the site at the same time.

    1) What do you use Texas Gun Talk for? - Social outreach.

    2) What do you feel is missing from Texas Gun Talk? - Private Form that doesn't get google searched\members only.

    3) If you were in control of the site, what changes would you make and why? - Sell Swag, Moderators of late have been slow. Study what threads get the most views and why then see what I could do to replicate.

    4) Do you feel the forum is difficult to use? Is there anything you'd like to know how to do? Tap Talk on the android has a few short cuts I really like. Showing only the threads I've participated in, and such.

    5) Is there something on another forum that you enjoy that you'd like to see here? BS gets way in left field lately. Not that I'm not the problem at times.

    6) Have you liked us on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Texas...18938131470011 Yes, but I keep a tighter grasp on my FB account and don't anymore.

    7) Have you followed us on Twitter? @TexasGunTalk - https://twitter.com/#!/TexasGunTalk I don't tweet.

    8) Have you subscribed to us on YouTube? TexasGunTalk - YouTube - Yes

    9) Have you linked to me on LinkedIn? http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=132821840 - I don't Linkedin

    10) Have you +1'd us on Google+? https://plus.google.com/u/0/112479625691072207779 - I'll look.

I'm not a fan of linking forms to FB. I understand if you do but it's annoying to me.

I'd like to see more traffic in the classifieds. Definitely bring back the feedback system and make leaving feedback mandatory.

In my opinion the forum functions fine as it is except that the last message read button in a thread never takes me to the last message read.

As far as content, it's seems to be what it's intended to be: a place to cuss and discuss. No complaints. I only go to new messages when I log on. I really should spend more time perusing the various areas.

It's like looking in the refrigerator. I have a hard time not looking in when I walk by. I do it several times a day to see if somebody's left some goody for the taking.

I like the site layout. If I were going to change anything, I would be an auto-resize feature. I don't really know how to describe it, but for those of us who like the text in these posts to be on the larger size, I hold down the CTRL button and hit the + button and the text will get larger and easier to read. (I use firefox). When I do that on this site, I have to scroll left to right to read the threads. I've seen other forums that re-size the page, or wrap the text, or however you want to describe it so I don't have to scroll side to side to read it all.

Haven't subscribed to any of those other places like facebook, twitter, etc. I'm not on any of those places.

I must admit that I only use TGT for buying and selling weapons. That said, I wish the classified section was broken down by sprcific cities or areas of the state. Many times I have to contact the seller to find out where they are, before I can decide to purchase the weapon, or not.
