Brazoria county also has no action. Not too surprising since Pearland and the northern part is importing libs all the time.

I'm mad as hell--at Republicans and conservatives in America.

The message here is clear: VOTE or be prepared for the socialist democrats to take over your life. I feel bad about what's happening in Virginia--but not for Virginians. I feel bad that we may lose one more state to totalitarian socialist dictators. As to the Virginians, why didn't all the gun owners vote in every election? They didn't and now they're crying about the result. If they had VOTED, they wouldn't have to protest in the streets about what the people they allowed to be elected are doing!

124 million gun owners in the U.S. could dictate the outcome of most elections. A 30% turnout, though, just hands over your city, school district, county, state, and nation to the left. We have an Hispanic woman who has never before had a job of any kind running Harris County. Think about that. The second most populous county in the U.S. is being run by someone whose whole life has been spent in various schools and universities paid for entirely by you and me. ZERO working life experience. She's the local equivalent to AOC, or actually worse, since AOC at least worked as a bartender.

How many of you reading this didn't vote in the last election? Where I live there were no offices up for vote, but there was a whole list of propositions, and a couple them were pretty bad for taxpayers. I voted no, but they won anyway--and the total vote (yes and no combined) was a smaller number than registered Republicans here. Assuming Republicans can recognize a bad deal when they see it, they could have made the final vote NO. But they didn't bother to vote. Just like in Virginia. So we have a couple of new bad laws in place. If you don't vote, you don't get to complain.

I’ve wondered if a county or counties could secede from a state to create a new state?
Not secede from the U.S. but from the original state.
Say in Illinois everything not Chicago just leave.

West Virginia was the northern 33 or so counties of Virginia that succeeded from Virginia to join the Union during the Civil War. Im no lawyer but I would say the precedent has been set.

Where ever commies congregate (all big Texas cities) there's not a chance of their becoming a gun sanctuary.

The truth is: Democrat-Socialists actually want good citizens unarmed and bad guys shooting up the cities because it gives them reasons for idiot voters to keep giving them power with the lies that if they are kept in CONTROL they will provide safety. The big secret is drug gangs, violent criminals and anarchy are desirable for the Far Left Demo-Socialists.

I suspect most of the folks on this board do vote. But in general, your point is well taken.

I realize this goes back a bit far, but Texas and Virginia are forever linked by history. It's unknown where all of the Alamo defenders originated, but at least 17 of them were Virginians. Who knows how many more folks from that proud state fought with Fannin or Houston or in the Rangers protecting the settlers (many of whom were also were from there). Sam Houston Himself was a Virginian and seemingly the only man in Texas at the time that could stop Santa Anna. His decisions in the field are DIRECTLY responsible for the freedom Texas gained following that conflict. Dont write off all the "good" Virginians for the actions of the Communist ones. If you do someone will be saying the same thing about Texans when this same crap happens to us. It's coming, if you dont think so then your not paying attention. Just sayin...
