I always weigh them for that reason.
I should have been more clear in my previous post. The disk is consistent, I tossed the paper with the supposed weights it throws. I measure a bunch and just write down which hole I used in my little reloading notebook.

I think lee adds a little fudge factor in on the auto disk, probably for liability reasons. If it throws slightly under, its aggrivating. If it throws slightly over and someone blows up their gun, its likely to be a lawsuit.

Today I made a test run of 25 hi-Tek coated lead Bullets in 125gr with 6.2 gr of HS-6. They are “ dark cherry” color and are in nickel cases I picked up at the range. Darn near “Purdy”

    Resized a bunch of .223.
    Running batches through the vibratory.
    Might do some priming later.

Lots of once fired that needs trimming, deburring and primer pocket swaging.

    I need an apprentice.

Don't look at me. Sized, swaged the pockets, trimmed and cleaned ~250 .223 cases. If you find that apprentice, send him/her this way.

Tried some loads in my new 6x45. I need to buy a different powder. Not so good with H4895. My 308 loads look great though. working up a new load with 178gn ELD-X and Varget. Got some small groups and SD as low as 4.5 for a 5 shot string. Not bad for Winchester brass.

Tested some 22 Creed loads this weekend. Speed was great at 3250fps, accuracy was great at 100 and pretty good at 942yds considering 13-16mph winds and horrible mirage. The downside was the sd was a touch high but for now it should be fine and should serve well on critter duty.

Poor grouping or low velocity on the 6X45?

I wasn't expecting too much speed from a 16" barrel. I got 2750fps with a 75gn VMAX. The best groups were just under 1 1/2". The 85gn GK impacted much higher and with all of the goobers on the range I didn't bother shooting groups with it, just measured velocity. 2615fps with those. Both loads were compressed with no signs of pressure.

I loaded 200 rounds of 10mm and 400 rounds of .45 ACP on the Dillon today. First time running the case feeder and man is that thing sweet. I'm also glad I got the Inline Fab ergo handle.

The 10mm load is a cast 180 gr cup point from NOE loaded over 9 grs Power Pistol. I'm having the Devil's own time getting the hollow point from the same mould to work. The rounds drop right into my L.E. Wilson case gauge but just have feeding problems in my 1911s.

The .45 load is the Speer 200 gr SWC mold over 4.4 grs of WST. I love that nice soft shooting target load.

Tomorrow I'll make the big switch and convert to 9mm and load up 400-500 rounds.

I bought a Dillon 550 several months back, and haven’t had time to set it up and start cranking on it.

Over the last couple weeks, I’ve been adjusting and testing everything.

A few days ago, I cranked out my first 9mm loads with it, and took them out to the Farm, and they tested fine.

This week, I plan to crank out several hundred (whatever fills my bucket) to keep me plinking for a while (or until my brother comes to town, he and I can go through a LOT of ammo together when we’re having fun)

Thats kind of light. I use 4.2 gr with my light loads and 4.8 grains with my XTPs.

Spent yesterday and today setting up a 9mm toolhead for my 650. I tried to use a Hornady case activated powder measure on it but just couldn't get things to run right.

Grabbed a spare Dillon powder die and took a measure off another tool head. I got it running and loaded up some 9mm with some cast 130 gr lead RN. Only loaded 100 because I want to make sure they run in my pistols.

I also sized some 500 of the above bullets.

    What source are you using?

I’m going by the Hodgdon website. It’s always steered me right, and it’s super easy to access.

It’s funny how much information can vary, depending on who is publishing the data.

With my 550, powder charge can vary +- .1 so I pick a middle weight and make that my starting load. As long as it cycles and hits my target, Then doesn’t show any pressure signs, I’m happy. I’m not a bullseye shooter, I just like shooting steel.
