    I had a full stainless Kimber in my hands at the store that was $250 more and had night sites that I have no use for and cheaper black rubberized plastic grips
    I actually liked the bi-tone look better with the wood grips so I used the money saved had them install the Truglo TFX, which I do like a lot

    There was some discussion as to the metal of the frame on the Kimber I bought. It sure looks and feels stainless, but could it be aluminum?

    I haven't bought one today, yet.

    It's aluminum. Take it completely apart, clean it real well, and properly grease/oil it. I had to do that before mine would run. Now no problem. Same for the 22 conversion if you have it. Clean it well or it won't run. My experiences.
