What gun did you buy today?

Picked up a full dip Howa 6.5 Grendal today. It's got a Nikko Stirling 4-16x44 scope. At first blush it doesn't look too bad for a cheap scope, we'll see. I got a Vortex 3-12x50 that can replace it if necessary. Threaded barrel. Bipod and box of ammo in the deal.
First Howa and 6.5G I've owned. Busy til I can get out to test it next week. Range report coming

Hell yes!!!! I like my AR in 6.5 Grendel, I've been jonesing for that Howa mini action. I should call it the mini Creedmoor.

You will have plenty of time to open it up, insert the two loose cartridges, cock the hammer, aim and fire. If you can't do all that in 2 seconds, you need to train more.

Thanks for the word of encouragement man.. Yeah, I was thinking along those lines.. just keep 2 rounds in my front pocket..like Barney Fife did..
It would just be safer not having a live round in the chamber....lol

I was thinking of just keeping a spare Glock 17 mag in my front pocket with 2 rounds in it.. you know..just for keeping them handy to load for the derringer when I needed to fire it.

Glad you have properly thought this out and have a plan. For ultimate concealment, I'd use a Glock 26 mag.

That Glock 17 magazine is going to print too much. Better stick to a Glock 43 magazine if you insist on carrying more than two rounds. But I really think you should learn to shoot better. If two rounds don't get the job done, you should have brought your M2 Browning.

Nope. I have a Silencerco & Gemtech piston and a Gemtech fixed mount in M16 x 1.
